Emerald City Cup 2025, MULTIDAY QUALIFIERS, TOP 32 Sunday finals (24 in main/8 in B), 250% IFPA VALUE!
Welcome Back to Emerald City Cup, for our 8th edition, with a NEW FORMAT, IFPA new HYBRD format! 1st place received 127 WPPR points for in 2024.
We are glad to announce that we are back at THE ICE BOX for 2025. They are sponsoring the IFPA leaving 100% of the registration fees to be paid out to players.
This year we will have TWO finals, top 24 main finals and a B Division final for the top 8 players not making the finals that are 1,000 IFPA ranked.
The event will now be held across multiple days, qualifiers will run starting Friday February 28th until Sunday 2nd. Players will compete by playing on 10 machines, with up to each machine top 2 scores counting, for an overall top 10 scores toward qualifying.
Qualifying will be open:
Friday: 5-11PM
Saturday: 1-11PM
Sunday: 10-4PM
The Ice Box Arcade also host their regular weekly tournament on Friday night which has in average more than 50+ players.
As part of the Emerald City cup weekend, join us for more pinball competition with the Emerald City Mixed Group Knockout on Saturday evening.
We will be mixing Modern and Classic game every other round in a 3 strikes group knock out even! Group of 4/3 people, with bottom 2 players getting a strike in group of 4 and only last player in group of 3.
Registration starts at 5:30PM. There is a LIMIT of 60 players total and the registration is $10 each.

Top 24 players at the end of the qualifiers will face off in a group matchplay finals, starting at 4:15 PM sharp. 4 players per group, 3 games per round, score 4/2/10, top 2 players at the end of the round moves on. The players will have choices of a bank of 3 games (Mixed era bank).
Any tie breaker will be done on the old game of the same bank the group is playing on, higher seed chose position.
Top 8 B finals will start at 4:15 PM as well in parallel as the 1st round of the main finals, same format applies.
No pre-registration required! We are keeping it simple, just pay at the door, first come first serve (max 140 players). With the open format type, there is no restriction, just make sure you have enough time to play at least your first 10 games.
Entry fee is $20 (+ game coin drop) for your registration and 10 entries. Maximum of 40 entries, with up to 3 rebuy, $20/10 entries.
If players are tied for a qualifying spot at the end of the qualifying, a full tie breaker game selected by the TD will be played, the order will be random.
For the finals top seed of group (based on qualifying seed) can chose bank of game or position.
for game 2 and 3, order is chosen by reverse game finish. 4th player finishing score on game 1 chose first position on game 2, etc…
Banks pick cannot be repeated in the tournament.
If players are tied at the end of a playoff round, the tie breaker will be decided by higher number of 1st place then 2nd, 3rd and 4th in this playoff round. If players are still tied a full game tie breaker will be played on the “old” game from their round bank.
For the final 4, any tie breaker will be broken with a full game tie breaker that will be played on the “old” game from their round bank.
Playoff rounds will begin immediately after qualifying end on Sunday around 4:15PM. Any top 32 player missing by 4:15pm will be skipped and next alternate will play the finals.
Entry fee paid back in full as cash prizes following below breakdown*:
Main finals:
1st = 24% + Trophy
2nd = 18%
3rd = 13%
4th = 9%
5th to 8th each = 5% (20% total)
9th to 16th each = 2% (16% total)
17th to 24th = $40
B finals:
1st = $50
2nd = $40
3rd = $30
4th = $20
5th to 8th each = $10
Estimated winner prize with 100 players attendance: $400 plus trophy.
*Prize rounded up/down, -$320 for 17th-24th and -$180 for B finals, IFPA fee sponsored by ICE BOX ARCADE.
