ACAE is thrilled to announce the
first annual 24-hour Castle Siege tournament at Another Castle Arcade Edition Edmonds, all in support of
Extra Life (
https://www.extra-life.org/), a fantastic charity.
During this tournament, all buy-ins, pinball quarter drops, and donations made during qualifying will go directly towards supporting Extra Life’s noble cause. So, while you indulge in your love for pinball, you’ll also be making a difference in the lives of those in need.
Here’s how the tournament works: we’re hosting a 24-hour unlimited best game qualifier starting at noon on Saturday November 4th. To participate, simply make an initial buy-in of $10, which grants you your first 15 games. Your performance on 14 out of the 20 available games will contribute to your overall standing. And if you’re hungry for more, feel free to make unlimited rebuys at $1 each.
Once the qualifying rounds are complete, we’ll move on to the finals. The top 24 qualifiers will advance, with the highest 8 players receiving a bye in the first round. The finals will be a group elimination bracket format. We’ll divide the players into 4 groups of 4, and each group will compete in 3 games of Matchplay. The player with the highest seed in each group will have the privilege of choosing the bank of 3 machines. The top 2 players from each group will advance, while the bottom 2 will be eliminated. Finals will begin at 1PM on Sunday November 5th
To make this event even more exciting, this format is guaranteed that it will provide 200% IFPA point value for at least 32 players, 250% for at least 48, and if we manage to gather 128+ rated players, it will be a remarkable 300%! Note: this event replaces the regular monthly matchplay tourney.
